General information
The care you expect, the love they deserve!
All About Pets was started in 1999 by Kyle and Christine Williams.
What started as a small little grooming salon which quickly
expanded to the operation we have today. Our goal was to
establish affordable professional grooming and boarding with a
loving and caring atmosphere. We pride ourselves on a nice
professional staff who dearly love the animals they care for.

Boarding is generally very easy for most of our guest. Usually it is the owners that
have a hard time. Being separated from your loved one is hard we know. Our goal is
to make their stay and your trip as care-free as possible. We encourage you to call
and check in as much as possible! We live on property and if ever you have any
questions or concerns feel free to contact us or an employee if we are not available
and let them know you need to speak with us. We will contact you back as quickly as
possible.
Some of the basic things you should know about boarding are...
~Try to have an emergency contact in town. Problems are rare, but if one did occur. It
is important that we are able to reach a decision maker as quickly as possible. Make
sure your emergency contact is aware of all your wishes if something were to happen.
Todays veterinarian bills can get very high, very fast. It is our responsibility to do what
is necessary for the health and well being of the animal in our care no matter what the
cost unless we are directed in writing before the board or by you at the time that you
have other wishes.
~Get your vaccinations at least 7 days before your board. First of all it takes some
time before your vaccinations to become effective. Second, if your loved one picks up
a virus at the Veterinarians office it will have plenty of time to show up before your
stay. This will prevent you from bringing in a potential problem that might get the
others in our care ill and prevent others from bringing something that may get your
loved one ill!
~Try to pre-bag your meals for your pet in advance if you are bringing in your own
food. This will better enable us to feed the amount of food that your animal is used too.
Include a little extra in case your loved one were to spill his or her food.
~Let us know if someone other than yourself will be picking up. We will not release a
pet to anyone except the owner of the pet unless we are notified in advance.
~We highly recommend that all animals who enter the boarding or grooming facility be
on some sort of flea and tick control program. If any animal is found to have a
infestation of any kind we will immediately take steps at your cost to correct the
problem and will add it to your final bill at check-out. Also understand that we are in a
wooded area and although we take every step to prevent a problem you cannot spray
or treat a forest.
~We monitor your pet as close as possible but, sometimes your loved ones behaviour
can lead to problems. Some of the most common problems we encounter here are>>
Happy tail -- sores on tail from wagging to much.
Nosey neighbor -- Sore on nose from poking nose at neighbor to much.
Sores on feet -- From trying to dig to China.
Diarrhea -- From nervousness or food change.
Bed or Blanket destruction -- Some animals are very good and chewing or shredding
bedding or blankets. Our biggest concern is ingestion which could lead to blockage. If
you animal has a history of this please let us know so that we may closely monitor or
remove any items that your loved one may begin to destroy or keep any items that may
be destructed out of their stall.
~Bathing -- During the course of the year we have a lot of guest who visit us. Our
goal is to try to keep all our guest as clean as possible. But , we will not bath a animal
unless there is an accident in their quarters that requires it or you request bathing at
the end of your stay. If you want your loved one to look their best and smell their best
going home we highly recommend a day at the spa to give a fresh look when going
home.
Finally and most importantly do not worry! The biggest advantage to boarding your
loved one in a kennel is that they are watched far closer than any neighbor or relative
could ever do. Very few pets have a problem, and when they do we work hard to get
past any issues that they may have. When calling, we will be very honest on how they
are doing. If there are problems we will inform you and let you know what steps are
being taken to get past them. Our daily goal is to make sure that all of guest are safe,
happy and loved.
